Getting into Phnom Penh from Techo
Techo is south of the city, in Kandal Province — farther out than the old airport was. Leave more time than you did for the old airport, and more again at rush hour.
- Airport express bus: 1,500 riel each way. Run by the Phnom Penh City Bus Company between the airport and the city centre, every day from 5:30 a.m. to 11:30 p.m.; with stops and traffic the ride can take up to two hours. Outside those hours, take a taxi. (Realestate.com.kh, 12 February 2026)
- Taxi or ride-hail app: about $10 to $20. That is for a taxi from the official counter or a car booked on Grab, WowNow or PassApp, and the fare depends on where you're dropped off.
